Hard Work Pays Off

This year Mr.B and Miss M worked hard all year cleaning the studio to help pay for their dances lessons. It was a good experience for them to earn money for the things they want. Plus the time spent together was priceless.

Dance Photos 2017

This year I thought I would take some behind the scene shots during the long day of dance photos. I was really pleased with the  results. Miss M was having way to much fun posing for the camera.  I am excited to see the final results from the professional photographer.( that will be another post)
Miss M, was in 4 different dances this year, and Mr. B, was in 3.

Scientist In The Classroom- WORK

We love it when the Jr. Science Academy brings in
REAL SCIENTIST. This time we learned about how work is accomplished. This time I was in charge of the GEAR STATION. We learned about Leader Gear, Idlers Gears, and Follower Gears.

Winter Cub Camp 2017

During our winter break this year we had a Winter Cub Camp. At the camp we went on a 3 Km hike, built Hobo Stoves, played games, and made Pine Cone Bird Feeders. We also made Fire Starters, built a fire, roasted hotdogs, and made cake in an orange peel
At first I was sceptical that the fire starters would work very well, but the surprised us. The fire starters are actually pretty amazing. They are super simple to make, and work like a charm. We even cut the toilet paper tubes in half and they still worked.

The First & Last

This year marked the first Kub Kar Rally for Mr. G, and the last one for Mr. W.  Mr. G was ecstatic. He has been waiting for his turn since his oldest Brother Mr. B, built his first one 6 years ago.
They  were able to use Uncle Mikes wood working tools in his shop, and later use the spray paint. It doesn't get much better than that.

The final design for Mr. G's racer was a Ford Mustang GT with a blower sticking out the top of the hood.

Mr. W ended up with  Chevrolet Silverado.

There were some pretty amazing designs this Year. I was really impressed.
To top it all off, MR. W pulled off a 2nd Place win, and Mr. G was 3rd Place out of 18 cars. I think the smiles on their faces say it all.
